Meat is one food that is widely consumed. Therefore, how to select fresh and safe meat consumed is important.

Most people are not very good at distinguishing the types of meat of large animals because it has a view that is almost similar. While smaller animals such as poultry even more easily distinguished because of very different kinds of meat.

In the market, we easily find the meat being sold in the form of ready-made like the meat for steaks, and in pieces for soups, as well as ground beef. Here are some suggestions to help you pick the good meat.

- As a rule, select meats as needed. If you want to cook rendang ( Indonesian food ), select meat containing little fat. For steak or stir-fry, choose the meat has, the faster soft.

- The important select fresh meat. Sign of bright red fresh meat, fresh-scented, and chewy if pressed.

- Do not select meat that has turned blue because it's a sign the meat is "withered".
